Default ZC trannies? Anybody know how to identify them?

Like for example which year, which car, gear ratio, stamps? What's compatible with what and so on.

The DOHCZC trannies usually have an intermediate shaft like the b-series. But not always, if I find the serial #s ill post 'em back here.

ZC transmissions use larger diameter axles, so the splined openings where the axles go into the differential are larger - visually, everything else is the same as any other 88-91 L3 transmission - 88 has 21 splines, 89-91 has 20 splines, etc.

For the Gear ratios the spin and count is the most reliable way to find out

If you had a junk 88-91 US Civic/CRX inner cup/joint laying around you could use that as a guide (That's what I use)

if it slides in it's small diff and you could use stock 88-91 unequal axles.
if there's slack it's a JDM big Diff- requires 90-93 INTEGRA AXLES AND INTERMEDIATE SHAFT
all kinds of info on the net about taking off the dust plate before installing.
