Default Autometer tach wiring help please

I just mounted the tach and I was wondering where I wire it all up. theres 4 wires total. A red, black, white and green. Red is the main hotwire. Black is ground, white is for the gauge's backlit illumination, and the green is to get the feed from the coil?

I was just wondering where I should be hookin all this up to. the ground isnt a problem and if im not mistaken, I could just put the hotwire directly on the battery with maybe an inline fuse. I am thinking that I should hook the illumination wire ( white ) to one of the + feeds on the back of my gauge cluster. I did that with my old cluster when I put illuminated gauge faces on ( illumination worked properly but instalation fucked up the needles, I had to get a new cluster. ) But my main problem is where I put the coil feed wire ( green ). I have NO clue as to where I hook that one up to. When I say coil feed, im basing that on the directions becuase they arnt detailed at all. But thats what they called it.

Also, the directions say I need to find out if my engine is a 1 or 2 pulse. I have a B-18c1 so what would that be? its necessary for the calibration.

Into what car? I wired mine to the clock harness on my 94 teg, I removed the clock as the tach was in front of it and I have a clock in my Alpine HU, then all I had to do was run the green to the blue on my distributor. 94

NM I just winged it. Its calibrated now. Except it sometimes twitches a little bit. Could it be that its not calibrated? or could my Bass and music have something to do with it. Because I know that sometimes music affects the headlights on certain cars and ****. Makes them blink.

Yes it could be the sound system. If it is, you may want to install a cap on the sub amp or better yet, upgrade the alternator 94
