Default CRX Suspension

Please give me some input on how to do my suspension. I am wanting my car for the road more then for drag. Maybe someone can recommend a shop in So Cal that is honest and knows what to do.

This one is wide open and there is a ton of info available just for the searching. You need to decide what you really want to do with the car, how much you have to spend, and decide what is important to you and see what seems to make sense for you to that end. There is no one answer that is right, everyone has their own tastes and preferences and many of them may be right for that person.

What is the old saying: Opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one and many smell like sh*t. It is like learning to drink wine, there are lots of options to fit lots of needs and tastes and the more attention to pay to it, the more you refine your own tastes. I would suggest that you gather your info but do start on the somewhat conservative side and move up rather than jumping it too aggressively and simply regretting it. CRXs are the smaller, lighter and shorter wheelbase end of the Honda performance range so they don't need to be nearly as stiff and aggressive as many people go with bigger Integras, Civics, Preludes, etc.

Setting up your suspension has a lot to do with your driving style. I had a 1990 CRX Si. The biggest difference I noticed is when I changed to high-performance tires. Next, I changed the springs (Eibach) and shocks (non adjustable Tokico). After that, was a front strut bar. At that point, I felt the car was set for me. I could create throttle oversteer and lift-throttle oversteer pretty much at will. I like accelerating through turns.

My buddy who had a 1989 Civic Si had the same set-up except for adjustable Tokicos and an adjustable rear sway bar. Too much rear-end action for me. But he liked neutral throttle through turns.
