Default Help me regain intrest in my hatch

I'm picking up my short block from the machine shop tuesday, but I have almost totally lost interest in my project. Help me regain intrest, um, pics of other cars in similar situations would probably spark my intrest to work on it again.

Here's what I have left to do:

-Install RF suspension
-Install ES bushings in rear suspension, install rear sway bar brackets
-totally rewire car to hide wires, remove alarm, and facilitate new gauge locations
-paint interior, clean up sound deadning remnants
-build charge piping & exhaust (going to 2.5" from 3")
-assemble head, port new intake manifold, build long block, and install
-install driver seat, remove factory seat belts

What i have left to buy:
-a turbo, but i cant even decide what i want (T3 flange, 3" inlet compressor)
-misc. silicon bends
-new injectors, ~800cc
-resonator & muffler
-roll bar or cage, harness & passenger seat
-front bumper trim
-BOV

and a bunch of misc. other ****.

Anyway lately i've been thinking of dropping a D15 in my car with bolt on's and selling it, the engine, & the turbo **** i have seperatly. The only reason i keep going on it is because i know I can't sell a shell that doesnt even roll right now.

Might post pictures later. I'm headed out to work on it a bit.

DK - you know if you put it all together you'd have the fastest honda intown

Do it just to shut travis tristin and his JL goof troop up

then you can talk some S%it , whoop some *** and get respect

then if you want to sell the car and profit

Plus i will be less than a mile away doing the same/similar things to my car. all u have to do is call and ill help you.

dont do what i did. I quit on honda's, and decided a few months later that i missed being able to work on a cars without having to spend the $$$ that you do on other cars. like 240's/bmw's

240's are nice cause of the whole driftthing, but youll never get the kind of respect you can when your in your unsuspecting honda and put a domestic / redneck ricer to shame. Plus you know EF's better than anyone i know. Its where U came from nukka, dont give up on that.

Finish your car, get respect/satisfied with it and hold onto it.
Then build up a drift car.

Here, this will make you feel better

i had the same feeling when my CRX was down. i went out and bought a beater and kinda accepted my fate that i would drive a slow car for the rest of my life. Then the first day i drove my CRX i was so damn happy, it was almost scary driving it

Thats exactly what I went through. I was to the point where it was sitting on jack stands for so long that I didnt even know what the hell the car was like I was almost to the stage of saying F-it im going to throw it together then sell it but then once it was assembled and I drove it I was glad I didnt sell it.

On a side note I noticed that you have an OBX LSD you have any problems with it or havent you benn able to try it out yet? I have went back and forth just cause of the price on them...

But back to the topic you wont want to get rid of it once you drive it again especially turboed!

I had the SAME feeling for the past 10 months. I had to replace the ZC engine in my CRX due to busted ring lands (too much boost on an already tired engine)

I spent 7-8 months replacing every seal on the replacement engine, only to find out it had a tiny fissure in the back of the block. So I had to send that one back and get the replacement.
More down time.
The new one showed up and I gathered all my energy and tore into it.

And guess what?
195 across all 4 cylinders, not a drop of oil leaking, and best of all?

MY DAMN CRX IS NO LONGER ON JACKSTANDS!

I drove the wife and I to the local Starbucks and must have seen like 5 people turning to stare at my little pocket rocket.

It sure feels great to finish this project and actually drive her again.

Hang in there Krustindumm!

got that much done tonight. tomorrow i will be running the headlight wires down the frame rails, seperating the engine harness and moving it to under the intake manifold, and relocating the fuse box to the battery (behind pass. seat) and the resistor box to above the ECM.

May also add a fuel pump relay, remove the alarm, and possably remove other unneeded circuits.

Just remember that CRX's are pretty good sleepers. They look like cooler Geo metro's (as my friends call them) but when they ride in my swapped rex, they hold on to the OH **** handle like their life depends on it. My dad owns a 65' Chevelle and regrets the day when he told me a CRX beat him from a dead stop onto the highway and now he wants a Honda.

I can't believe how many times I almost gave up and sold my CRX. If it hadn't been for my brother I probably would have done it. But now that my car is getting close to being finished I so glad I didn't. All I have left is getting carpet, getting a paint job, and drop my new motor in. (already has an ls motor but putting in something better....... )

Default I beleive EFbomb should shut his mouth

First of ERbomb says travis and tristan have bene saying they thinks travises honda will eb the fastest honda in town.first off get your facts straight.no one ever claimed that travises car will be the fastest u dont even knwo what he has done to it.plus if u see the dyno she we got it will prove that it only came out with 212hp and 257pounds of torque.so obviously its not even close.and the dyno test took place at 07/13/05 at GRD raceing in illinois.hes got the dyno sheet to proove its slow so feel free to ask him personally and not beign a little bitch and talkign **** on a website.so have fun

just picked up the engine. I'm clearancing the block for the rods, and taking it back to be balanced early next week.

Wiring harness has both lighting wires seperated and rn through the frame rails, trying to sort out the engine wiring now so I can put the fuse box and resistor box inside the car.

90hatchback, damnit. Your brother got in my face talking **** about how his car would totally own my car. You know what? I don't care.
