What is a PEO ERROR and how do i fix it?

 

if you searched the archives you would have seen that we went thru 3 decks on our 99 SH (gfs car).. at first the dealer said its prolly not reading cuz we were using CDRs (bs).. then i took out a store bought cd and it still wouldnt read.. so reluctantly he replaced the unit under warranty... a few months later the replacement broke.. so after taking it in and waiting yet almost a full day for them to replace it.. we got a new deck under warranty which broke again ... after going thru 3 (the original, and 2 replacements)..

I finally said forget it and put in a new Clarion unit in her car.. havent had any trouble since.. i'd suggest you save yourself the hassle of going to the dealer (your warranty is prolly expired anyway).. and start looking for a new head unit..

search the archives.. this has happened to other peoples cars also..

i remember responding to a few of these PE0 errors.. it looks like its a common problem..
