well we just got this car for $125 busted winshild,and a really bad cluth, and no title.... but what does lxi mean???? but it is real fast i would like to see what it can do with a good cluth.... and can some gave me the codes for it please and ty....

 

Honda offered four basic Trim options for the 1988 model year; they were DX, LX, LXi and EX.
All had the same 2.0Litre SOHC engine but the differences follow:
DX: 2.0L Carbureted, Manual Trans, Manual Windows, Locks and cloth interior
LX: 2.0L Carbureted, Manual Trans (Auto option), A/C, Power Windows, Locks and cloth interior.
LXi: Same as LX w/Fuel Injected 2.0L engine. Optional Sun Roof
EX: Same as LXi w/leather Interior and other accessory appointments

 

nope, EX is the canadian incarnation of LX. canada had no DX, but they had LX and EX. thier LX was our DX, and thier EX was our LX. the only third gen with leather was the SEi, which was only made in 1989.

the "i" stands for "injected". that motor when new had 120 HP, measured at the crank, which is more than the carbed incarnations, which measured a much lower 98 hp at the crank.

 

Since he hailed from Clyde, North Carolina, I figured I'd give him the US versions.
You are correct (however), the LXi was considered top of the line at that time.
