Anyone have specs on this block? Prices?? I believe payn tech is where I am going to get my hondata tuned this spring. Looks like it is a place I can trust after all. If they can make a custom block, they should be able to tune my car quite well.

With that .550" increased deck height option, very good R/S ratios will be possible with out using a b16 crank.....mmmmm, the possibilities!!

 

If its as good as it seems then I'm getting me one......

 

Too bad its not legal in any import series this season.

 

I heard short block alone will be close to $2G's, then the custom Eagle crank for another $1G, then rods and pistons which will be close to another $1G of course.

I'm dealing with Payn Tech right now so I'd vouch for there service.

 

If you buy a shorty and have it sleeved your coming close to that price.

Anyways, that raised deck is the ****...cmon. Definately a solution for someone who's 'not playin' when it comes to building a motor.

Blocks like this are commonplace among the Domestic Aftermarket.

What are they doing for you?

It would have been nice if they made their block able to accept an OEM honda crank. Anyone know if this is a streetable block, or just something for weekend racing at the track? It may be worth it to buy the payn block instead of me buying another honda shortblock, and having that sleeved and built.

What's this?? Is there something missing from this block? Why is there not a seperator between cylinders??

Look closely between all the cylinders..

 

That block isnt sleeved. When it is those gaps wont be there I do believe

 

What timing belt will fit since it has a deck plate?

 

let them design it first. Then we can ask all these questions. It wont be out until april anyways so lets be patient...

Talked to Tom Payn yesterday.
MSRP is between 1850 and 2G
for the tall deck you need a custom timing belt.
I do believe the block in the picture is nto sleeved, but i did not ask, as i saw the pic after i talked to him.
Not sure what the crank plans are.
