Default ECU Casings/Mounting

I just put an 89 Teg ECU into my 90 CRX. I mounted it using some screws, so it is secure, but the plate that goes over it won't bolt down (not even one or two bolts). I'm a little uneasy about leaving it uncovered, I might have a stuipd friend put his feet down real hard. Is there a way to get it to fit? Or I was also thinking of changing the circuit boards between cases (putting the Teg ECU board into the Si case), that way it would mount. Is that possible? ( I know if I do that, I won't be able to see the LED, but that can be fixed too). Any input? Thanks.

mount the teg board in the si case and drill a hole in the case where the teg led is.

I have an 88 DX and the teg board would not fit in my casing. I cut one of the mounting arms off the teg case so the cover would fit over it. I also drilled a hole in the case as well as the cover so I could see the LED. One final thing, I secured the ECU to the cover with some strong velcro to keep it from sliding around under the cover.

not happening..
it certainly does! I've done this like 4 times w/ si ecu's...the boards are the exact same size and have all the same mounting points...

i tried putting a 89 teg ecu in a 90dx case and
it would not fit.!!

the teg board is shorter.!!! and the bolt holes were off

if u claim its true the dx and si boards are different
and its my bad.!

it makes sense that the dx boards/cases would be different....so its just the si (hf maybe) case...

i had an si case and put an 89 teg board in it...

so i think we are all on the same page now. only an si case will accept an 89 teg board.
