Default trying to pull the clutch; but trans won't come off

can anyone help me with any ideas or tips on how to pull the trans apart from the block. i can't seem to pull the trans all the way off, it is off about half an inch but won't budge any farther. The entire motor is out, if that helps.
any info would be a huge amount of help..................thanks

if i can do it myself, so can you. its a bitch sometimes, but, lay a wheeled jack under the tranny and use more muscle.

just yesterday i finished installing a new clutch in my 90 civic dx. this was the first clutch i've done so it taught me alot. when takin the trans off the engine block, i used a jack underneath it so that once it did come loose it wouldnt drop to the ground (duh). it took a little prying cuz there was so much grease and crap covering basically everything under the hood. you just need to use a lil muscle and pry it off.

good luck
