Default DIY Homemade Catch can

Hey guys just wanted to post up my new catch can that I finshed fabbing up today for under $20. It looks pretty sick just like it was store bought or manufactured. so hit me up with some comments to see what you guys think.

looks good. You may want to flip the can over though !! If any oil comes out of the hoses the can will just fill up and the oil will have no where to go.

is the bottom sealed or open?, look like there is a plug in it?
how is this going to vent the crankcase?

it is sealed and there is a drain plug at the bottom.

is there soppose to be a top or lid you can detach to replace the filter inside? or am i just thinking gibberish

Alummized steel, maybe mild i dont know if they are rhe same
there is like steel wool as fine as a brillo pad inside and you can see the drain plug perpendicular of the air hose fittings on the bottom
1st picture the end where he grinding is the bottom

i might suggest tig weldin it next time if you have the chance.. tig looks great and is strong but the wleding maching to do gtaw(tig) is expensive

Alumnized steel is mild steel, just coated so it don't rust. Really hope you are grinding it away though, just read about an older welder that passed from getting poison from the galvanized coating on there

It will probably rust soon if its just mild steel and had all the protective coating removed!
