Stephen, its funny how a couple of the H5 guys complain about us messing with their race, yet when we qualify ahead of them, we never complain about starting behind them and having them hold up our race. I clearly remember having an awesome race with an H3 prelude and H4 CRX at Shenandoah.

H5 guys, watch your mirrors!

Dave, my thought is, once I got through the H5 and slower H4 for cars, I had a great race at Shenandoah with the h3 prelude, the yellow CRX (h4) , myself and Eric rosen in the other SER and chasing Corey in the accord....unless you guys feel very strongly that as the "feature race" you don't want to mix with us, why not grid the cars by time so I am out of your way during the race so you can enjoy your race....

if you don't want to chang it that's fine, although my one request is if that we all do standing starts

hi matt.

i didn't see that on the link to the schedule that was emailed to me? i saw that HC was part of Stinger???

one other question; the email mentioned a link on info for getting reimbursed for the $20 entrance fee (i have myself plus 3 crewmen coming); but i saw no such link? anyone have info on that? one year, we had to print out special crew passes; i guess not for this year?

thanx

Someone isn't reading their group instructions on the event page!!!!! The e-mail you were sent noted that you should read closely the instructions for your group at this link. There is refund info there.

(Ignore the stuff about test and tune, instructor clinic, etc......that was mistakenly posted there rather than VIR and is being moved to the VIR event page).

I guess we are, which kind of sucks for the "featured race", but I'm sure under the circumstances that they will start us in two groups. Hopefully with standing start for HC!

If HC is the "Featured" race group why is it lumped in with Stinger and Legends get their own race?

I know this is a bit off topic but I have to ask. Is the race group really called "Stinger group?"

As in, if you're a Honda Challenge driver, do you look at the schedule and search for when "Stinger group" goes out because that's when you go out?

That's an excellent question.

Although, I will say that in a HC, Pro Sedan, or otherwise sedan-based small bore racer (oh wait...I mean..."stinger group" racer) the Legends cars are very, VERY hard to see and can be (will be?) unpredictable. Not having to share the track with the guys in the legends cars is something of a privelage.

Chris normally has it on the schedule as to who is where, and I will remind him to put it on there.

Stinger: HC, Miatas, PS, Spec Neon, etc Small Bore types
Thunder: AI, CMC, FFR, SU, etc. Big Bore types
Autobahn: GTS, 944 Cup, Spec E 30 (German types)
Legends: Legends, Thunder Roadsters, Sports Racers

The problem is not you my friend. it is the slow *** miatas, who just seem to be about the same lap times as fast h5/slow h4 cars. It is really frustrating to spend the whole race fighting with cars that you are not in a points battle with classmates mixed in. The racing can be fun, but more often than not, is is frustrating.

If you are fast enough to catch me than you have no problems cause i let people by very smoothly, if they are not in my class, they get a point-by; **** i even lift sometimes when i see us getting to a turn at the same time.

The bottom line is that I would prefer a run group of our own, but when that can't happen, I would like NASA's lack of time in the schedule to affect my race as little as possible.

I would rather have split starts when we( H-C) have half the field. I like the in class competition. But at the NASA south east events there are usually only 4-8 of us spread out over five classes. So we all start togeather and I race with everybody, and we all enjoy it.
