Default 90’ accord with tcm problem

I have a 90 accord with 260k on it, car runs strong and is in really good shape. I drive the car mostly at night on my commute to work which is 50miles each way. On humid nights the car’s tcm malfunctions and locks in sport mode. I’ve had the dealership take a look, but they say nothing is wrong the tcm or trans. Is there a component of the drive train which could be affected by the humidity ? Also, is there a way to just disable that section of the tcm ?
