Isn't Spoon and Type One the same company or related in some way?
They simply made arrangements with Spoon for the ability to market their (AJ-Racing's) own product with the Type ONE name & logo.

What's the deal with headers on the RSX?
Do they all eliminate the cat? If so, that sucks. I know that the K20s use a close-coupled cat, but I don't know if that is the only converter or if it is just there to reduce emissions under cold-start conditions.
I could justify removing a close-coupled converter if it were only there to reduce cold-start emissions, but I could not justify running without a converter at all.

Just for your information :
Mugen has developed a header 4-2-1 which comes with a cat-convertor. Since a new convertor is involved so the price will be about $2000-$3000 range.
Spoon is developing a 2 types of headers . 4-2-1(2 pcs) and 421(1 pce). The 4-2-1 (2pcs) header will elimate the cat-convertor and we are expecting to see about atleast 10hp gains. For the famous 421(1pce) header , we still haven't got any info on it so I will keep everybody posted when I get any first hand information.
TypeONE headers are under development now and we will dyno it as soon as the Prototype is done. The design will be 4-2-1 and we are targeting 10+hp and 15+hp with the exhaust as an combo. This header also eliminates the cat so it will not pass emission for sure.
