car is a 92 si
engine 95 gsr
he is using his stock piping, stock muffler, stock cat (92-95 si), and 95 gsr header. the problem is that we have a gap or maybe 5-7 inches. he wants his car to sound and have everything stock.
here is my question
what OEM combo do you guys using? will the 94-95 cat work with this setup? what cat for eg with gsr swap with 95 header and 92 si stock piping and exhuast
here is what i came up with:
the 95 gsr header is shorter than the 00-01.
the 95 gsr header doesnt have an o2 bung at the end and the 00-01 gsr does.
All gsr piping is the same length as the 92-95 si piping. (correct me if im wrong)
99-00 si cat is not long enough
BTW: he had a test pipe before and that eliminated the problem.

Have you tried taking it to a muffler shop and have them take a look at it to see what they can do? Adding a piece of pipe won't change the sound, especially if it's only to lengthen an exhaust system.
is it a hatchback? cuz i have a '93 coupe and my stock civic exhaust/cat bolted rite up to the GSR header. everything lined up on my car.
i believe the integra cat is longer (some correct me if i'm wrong) so if you run one of those, you'll need to weld on a new mid-pipe.

i heard that the b16/b18b headers are longer than the gsr ones.
u can use those headers to bolt it up to stock hatch piping with cat.
i've used aftermarket GSR ones and it didn't bolt right up so i had to extend mine.
but that's what i heard so u might wanna try that..
someone correct me if i am wrong.

ya i talked to them and they are asking 80 for pipe w/ and o2 bung. id rather spend 80 on oem parts

wat you would need to do is..take it to a muffler shop and have the extend the piping on the CAT...thats what i'm going to have to do for my LS swap, better than trying to find a CAT thats going to fit. so just take it a muffler shop and have them extend the piping to reach the header...shouldn't cost that much either

here is what we did
95 gsr header, 94 accord ex PIPE EX. MIDDLE, 99-00 si cat (tried the 92-95 cat and it should work perfect), 92-95 stock piping and exhuast
here is a picture of the 94 accord part i used its number 7.

the 94 accord PIPE, EX. MIDDLE doesnt bolt up correctly, so u have to cut the flange and weld it.

thiers an o2 bung on the 99-00 cat but just plug it up. i used the accord part becuase their was an o2 bung on it.
$30 thats cheap. if it was only 30 i would have done that

Well I have an EG hatch also ... and I have the stock ITR cat with the Apexi World Sport piping and stock GSR headers and it bolts up perfectly fine. So just use an Integra cat from any year.

Apex EG catback exhaust or custom?? did the flange on the cat to the catback line up or did you have to get a civic flange to weld onto the cat?
