Default 88 civic speedometer cable

My speedometer cable is broken so I need to replace the whole thing. Does it say how to do this in the helms? If not where can I get instructions? Also, where should I get a new cable from? I am using my stock tranny, and honda parts says $40. I've seen cheaper but not for my car. Who should I buy from?

Yeah, the helms will tell you how to replace it. Just buy one from the dealer or from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com or you could get one from a junkyard.

Its really easy just to replace the inner wire. Should take you 10 minutes or so. Just be sure to lube the new wire. I used spray white silicon grease.
