Clutch sticking to floor ?!
Ok so for the past week my clutch has been acting funny, but now my car is undriveable. When I press in the clutch it straight sticks to the floor.
Last week I would have to pump the clutch like 20 times before I could get it into gear and drive away. It was getting progressively worse, and now it won't engage the clutch at all. Am I leaking hydraulic clutch fluid or something??
If anybody has experienced this before I would appreciate any advice you have

first, see if your clutch fluid is low. check for a leak somewhere by the clutch master cylinder, or slave cylinder on the tranny. if one of them is leaking then replace it. that should solve your problem. my friends car is the same way and his master cylinder is bad.

bleed your system. i replaced my clutch master cylinder the other day and i got so much air in there the thing was like dangerous to drive. the clutch felt different every time i pushed it in and stuff, ugh that was a shitty day. anyway, i re-bled it and made sure i had the right amout of fluid and its money now.
cliffs: check your fluid, bleed the system, check for leaks... get a new master cylinder

First, look under your dash at where the clutch pedal meets the firewall. If you see signs of leaky fluid, it's your master cylinder. As the guys said, it's most likely this and air is in the line. PM me if you need a link to fix it. It's not tough to do; a new MC is only around $100 + fluid.

Awesome, thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to check for leakage tomorrow morning, and probably replace the MC by the end of the week. I saw one going for 43 brand new on ebay today..

There is also a Slave cylinder*hence the master cylinder*
i had this problem on my 300zx, if its just Air in the system, you can bleed it, one way to notice this is alot like noticing air in brake lines... if its spongy but you pump them and get pressure again *aka* your brakes work fine for awhile, there is air in the brake lines, same thing with clutch, if you pump your clutch pedal and it feels better then most likely there is air in the line, bleed and be done.
Like these guys say, check for leaks definetly. and check if the MC has the right amount of fluid.
The slave cyl is attached to the tranny and i actually had the little piston explode spewing my fluid all over the ground :[ clutch pedal instantly dropped to the floor at that point and i would pull it back by hand, but could gain No pressure.. had to ride it in first a few miles home.
So be sure to check for leakage right under the tranny too.
good luck.
