Default jdm itr motor....what cams? got $3,000 to spend...

posted this on the all motor forum but need quicker response....Plan on purchasing some tomorrow or so......

ok, Im a newb when coming to internals and I have been browsing around the all motor forum for awhile and searching here and there....so help me out guys.... This is my daily driven car/some drag racing once in awhile @ the track

Car: 00 civic hatch

Motor:
-96-97 jdm b18c type R motor
-Runing 00 p73 usdm type R ecu but have p28 ecu with ecu jumper
-RSR exhaust
-DC 4-1 type R header with some cat
-Skunk2 manifold with 64mm Throttle body
-Intake with k&n filter
-250-255 compression test across the board that helps

Plan on purchasing some cams but dont know what to get...Just looking for cams that are best bang for the buck....I have my eyes on getting some buddy club spec IV with valve springs and retainers from robear for 899.00 I believe.....but I've heard of M22 and toda b spec are really good also...what cams should I buy? I want something thats mild and aggresive ....All labor will be done my me and just need someone that can tune it....

Plans on purchasing/somes are already on its way:
-Fuel Pressure regulator
-Walboro fuel pump 190lph
-Toda/greddy timing belt
-Cam gears
-AEM or AEBS fuel rail
-Exedy clutch or act clutch(want smooth engagement)
-Hondata but not sure which one....thinking s100
- dyno tuning

Thinking bout taking it to TURBO TUNE in Greensboro, NC for tuning or if not P1auto.....

Something mild if you don't want to up the compression while you're in there. Toda A, Skunk 2 maybe?

with that much money, i would of had sleeved the block and gotten 12.5-13:1 compression pistons and get cams to match that.

Just call P1 and talk to Jack about what you are trying to do.

Here are some great bang for the buck items (if you can do the labor yourself):

- thinner head gasket
- JDM ITR header
- test pipe
- reprogrammed ECU (shameless plug for myself)
- cam gears
- dyno tuning
- weight reduction (possibly free and very effective)
- AEM ITR CAI

Here are some great parts:

- Toda header
- higher CR pistons
- Toda spec A/B cams
- lighter flywheel
- 64mm TB

Forget about getting a different fuel rail. The OEM rail works just fine and looks great.

Remember that parts you use in your setup need to work together. Huge cams without high compression is not the best route to take. It all has to work together.

Also, keep your goal in mind. You do have a goal, right? Pick your parts wisely and try to get the best deal you can.

Good luck and have fun.
