Has anyone taken apart there aftermarket tails?

I want to take the clear lens off so i can paint all the Chrome Stock Black... but theres this putty or glue or whatever the hell is it all thoughout the thing...

If i put it in the oven, will it melt or warp the lens?

 

Bake in an oven in low heat. Checking in every minute until you can pry it apart.
