what size spacer is safe with stock studs

what size spacer is safe with stock studs
i have the integra brakes ready for my 94 cx and i have hx rims.
i do not want to grind the calipers so spacers are a must. i am poor and buying extended wheel studs should be avoided.
so how thick is safe enough for clearance but still safe on the studs???
