I'm sure this has been covered, but I couldn't find a definite answer via search...

Will '03 Civic Si 15" rims fit my '88 Civic hatch, standard model? It looks like the lug pattern is the same, but I'm not sure if the offset and tire sizing of the '03 Si will result in rubbing or other fitment issues.

i thought the new si's were 5 lug or is that just the rsx...ep right?

 

The first 2 years for the EP3 civic wheels were 4x100 15x6 45...and they fit fine.

 

Their stock tires are too tall for any pre-`01 civic/crx

 

they willl fit fine but you need new tires... i had them on my 95 hatch and the series tire needed to be a 50 instead of the stok 60 i think.

 

So the stock tires will rub? Will they render the wheels completely unmountable until I get 50 profile tires, or will the 60 profiles only rub during excessive suspension travel?

Well I wouldn't use 15" wheels with 60 profile tires on a EF anyways.

 

yeah, 195/50r15 has a diameter right in between the standard 13 inch tire size and the standard 14 inch tire size (185/60r14), so it's a perfect tire size. get tires that size for it.
