trailing arm swap
Long story short, I was told these spare '99 Integra LS trailing arms I have would swap right in for my '95 HB Si arms (with torn bushings). Come to find out the stampings are the same but the spindle lengths are different, of course I only find this out after everything is back on the car except for the hub. Due to the age & corrosion of the original arms, it's not going to be a good idea to swap spindles. Is my only option pulling the arms back off and just replacing the bushings on my old arms? any other ideas? I was thinking if I used Integra hubs then the brake caliper mounting bracket spacing would be off.
Any ideas?

bummer. easiest solution would then be to just swap bushings.
weird, i really had no idea the brack brackets were different on the two cars. i was always under the assumption that the rear brakes we identical down to the last bolt.

Are you shure your arm is a 99 ls? I just had this same issue cause one of my arms was a DA arm..
I swapped in a 95 Si side and the other is a 96 LS and they are the same spindle and TA.

Short story now long. It appears that the arms I have are Type R, not LS which is why it won't fit. There were off of an LS but evidently that car had swapped to 5 lug.

Ha. I'm in sorta the same boat as you, except a I could use a type r spindle. I just bought an LS trailing arm, but having a Type R trailing arm would be nice. If you want to swap, let me know.

Thats right.
all 4x100 spindles are the same and 96 spec type R and 98+ spec type R are longer than the 4x100. i'm not sure if the only difference between the 4x114.3 and 5x114.3 type R assemblies is just the hub (along with the rotor and caliper) or if it also includes the spindles as well.

It seems that you are a bit apprehensive about removing the spindle without warrant. I've removed the worst of the worst with success, you just have to have a fresh (T45?) torx bit, an impact gun, and mapp gas. Just replace the torx if they get damaged because the larger center spindle bolt is what holds it on to the trailing arm anyways, the torx just keep it oriented properly. Don't be squeamish, it will turn out fine without question.
