Default d17a2 Swaps for an ej8?

I was wondering if anyone has any information about putting a d17a2 in an ej8. Is it a simple swap? What are the benefits or shortcomings of a d17a2 to a d16y8?

Thanks for any help.

Not worth it. A D16 is would be better.

Can you specify why it would be better?

d17s are crap motors unless a lot of $ is spent, find a pic of a d17 head with no manifolds and you will know why, the ports are small and dont flow well

doesnt the 2001+ civics have a totally different fuel system as well....

IMO on the swap it isnt worth it because the horsepower gain wouldnt be phenomenal and there isnt much tech on how to do it. I dont even know if there are mount kits for it (doubt it...not enough of a market I would guess) AND you can get a D16 for super cheap these days

Put the D17 crank, rods and pistons in the Y8. That would give you 1668cc and a better head.
