yeah i just got a climate control from a 97 itr and there is a blank button that you cant push in where the A/C button would go let me know anybody curious

 

A/C was a dealer installed option on 97s.

I don't believe that there were on the 97's. On the 98+ you could get fog lights and OEM body kit. Those are the only options I can think of. A/C was standard on the 00-01's.

 

damn i think when i take out my a/c ill but on that button on but with the c/f climate i think that would look pimp

There were other dealer-installed options, such as alarm system, stereo options, etc, as well as other options you could get from your dealer (but some might question the word "installed") such as floor mats, trunk mat, car cover, etc.

 

my buddy just told me that the 98's was also an option for ac is this true?

 

How much does it matter?

 

97-98 = A/C was a dealer installed option
00-01 = A/C was a factory installed feature

This is for USDM cars only of course.

Isn't this kind of stuff in the FAQ?

maybe it was like that in the states, but CDN was i believe a 1500 option lol.. not standard.
for 01 that is. sorry edit..

I don't think it was a dealer installed option in '87. In fact, I don't think you could get an ITR in '87 at all.
