Default hondata questions! 02 dc5 type s

im looking to buy an 02 dc5 type s. the person that currently owns the car bought it from someone else who did some work. the car is solid as a rock and she's quick as *****. nothing major but the man mentioned hondata. the car has a stock exhaust with a test pipe, im assuming at one point it had an after market exhaust on there. the only thing is theres no cel. now i know that k pro would allow this to be possible. but do any reflash programs override the secondary o2?? or does it mean that this car has k pro. any other ways that you guys could help me identify what management is being used, let me know. im a former b series man. that doesnt know much about k's. thanks

If Kpro is being used, sure the CEL can be switched off. If its a reflash I dont think its possible. There could always be something else to remove the CEL like a spark plug defouler or even an o2 simulator - which could fry the ECU, so i hear but i havent seen it happen?? If your lookin to see if its a flash, just listen vtec engagement/rev limit.

Two programs are available. They both are based on the performance program above and vary only in rev limits:

K20A2-2: 5200 VTEC point and stock REV limit
K20A2-4: 5200 VTEC point and 8600 rpm REV limit

Hope that helps.
