Momo steering wheel - How to wire horn?
I have an aftermarket steering wheel and can't figure out how to wire the horn button up to work.
Am I supposed to keep that round thing with the little metal "feelers"??

your question makes no sense.
do what i did. just ******* test it out. worse that can happen is the horn will go off. Geez.
i actidently wired my wrong like 2 years ago when i got my quick-release. and i snapped it on. HORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRN for 2 mins until i fiqured out how to take the wheel back off.
your a big boy.

yes, the hub has a black wire right? thats the ground wire. you need to put that wire to the tab on the ring and the original horn wire goes to the horn button

Original horn wire.....this is where I'm confused. The only wire present with the steering wheel off is that ground from the hub.
I wired things every possible which way.....which reminds me I may have blown a fuse doing that.....but to no avail.
I'll let this die til after the weekend when I can mess with it some more. Thanks

You need a valium.

HUH? I'll check my wiring and get back to you. I put the wheel on ages ago so maybe I'm forgetting something. The horn on our EF's are always hot, so when you hit the button it grounds the circuit.

Here's what I'm working with. The green/yellow wire was supplied with the wheel, and the black one is the ground from the hub itself. I wondered if I shouldn't be using that piece on top, with the feelers???

And of course here's where the hub bolts up to.....this is where that piece with the feelers went against.

Any ideas please?

I agree with Apex - there should be two wires. Are you sure that the hot wire wasn't either clipped off or is tucked away somewhere?
Did your horn work before?
This should be a very simple install; I'd fish around for the red wire, or at least look for the remnants of it (I'd see where the ground is coming from as a starting point), to attach a new hot wire to.
If that's not the culprit, then I have no idea. Good luck.

The horn did work before.
The old steering wheel had a plug that plugged into the back of that "feelers" piece. Must be a plug for cruise control AND the horn? Do EDs without cruise look the same way??
Unfortunately that piece won't allow the steering wheel to sit flush.

^ Yeah that's what I'm going to try I suppose. It's red for sure?

I checked my MOMO and there are 2 wires. 1 hot and the other a ground. That round feeler thing I never saw with a MOMO before. It looks like it supposed to be the horn shoe ground. When you have the hub off the stock horn shoe is copper and grounds the hub. You should have a hot wire too.
