Default 91 Civic Si Transmission Question

OK, I just bought a 91 Civic Si, moving up from the DX, and it seems like it revs higher at freeway speeds than my DX, but it is difficult to tell, because I didn't have a tach on the old DX.

What rpm should I be hitting at 60-80 mph?

This is a used car of unknown provenance, and I'm worried that someone has been mucking with the final drive ratio.

Thanks!

Check that out for gear ratios. The final drive on the Si L3 transmission is much different than the Dx L3 transmission. The Si will rev higher on the highway than the Dx.

SI tranny should be close to this

60mph = 2906rpm
70mph = 3390rpm
80mph = 3874rpm
150mph = 7265 rpm

Thanks for the responses!

I was just getting freaked out there. After driving the DX for years, it was tripping me!
