Default Question about p72 block stamps

I searched and find some iffy information and was hoping for some clarification.

I know type r specific parts are p73 and GSR (SiR) are p72, but could a JDM B18c(r) have a p72 block? Is the only way to know for sure if its a type R is to see the pistons which should be stamped p73?

Thanks, this information will clear up a lot of confusion for me.

Yea, that's not the confusing part. All b16/type r's have the pr3-x stamp. I'm more concerned about discerning b/w JDM GSR (SiR) and the type R. Do both utilize the p72 stamp on the block, or does the ITR use a p73?

Thanks.

Yes. The ITR and GSR blocks are the same.
