Default Running a mustang throttle body on a b-series intake manifold

Ok, im looking at getting a 75mm tb. all of the domestic guys seem to have pretty cheap throttle bodies, since compaines like str, rpm and ericks want like 310 bucks for one.

My question is this. what sort of modifications are need to the intake manifold in order to run a mustang throttle body?

You just need an adaptor flange to run the large TB and maybe even a different cable.

Edelbrock makes the adaptor plate you will need. I've installed 2 and reused the orginial throttle cable. you have to be alittle creative with the throttle bracket to get the right angle

i have a 86-93 stang throttle body on my manifold. along with the ford tps. it worked fine with my speed pro system. also using a ford mustang throttle cable, just had to drill 2 holes in the firewall, and make little "stilts" for the cable to sit on, than put 2 bolts through the holes/firewall with nuts on the backside to hold it in.

i used a trans bracket from a bseries hydro trans for a cable stop.

off the car

you can use any 5v tps with the aem. all you have to do is hook up the wires to the correct signals and use the throttle wizard in the aem

ok. next question. which tb to buy?

theres a 75mm bbk on ebay for a 96 and up for 185 shipped, no TPS.

and a 75mm from professional products or something for a 86-93 for 140 shipped and it comes with a tps

Buy my BBK 70mm Honda throttle body.

Word to that, it takes like 10 seconds to calibrate the TPS with the EMS.

what engine management are you using?

Im not to sure about using the honda tps. it looks like the mounting holes are different, im pretty sure you can make an adapter plate but i dont knjow if its worth the hassle

There is not to my knowledge. Crome does have the feature, but it is built into the ITBs code. I am sure you can make something work.
