proud new type s owner
hey wsup peepz just got a 02 type s was going to get a s2k but incusrance was to high..... what would you recommend for the first mod/??? and what lip i should get for my front bumper/??
congratulations man! judging from your username, you had a gsr? i'm sure you're enjoying the ride quality, but i recommend you get some suspension modifications (springs, shocks, or even coilovers). considering it's an 02, i doubt it is riding on stock tires, but upgrade them
as for the lip, i personally like the greddy front lip.
have fun and be safe

Depends on the driver.
As for the thread starter. Get some springs and tires first. If you wanna fork out money for shocks right away or just go coilovers, then do that. Get used to the power of the car with your new and better suspension setup. After you realize the potential of the stock motor you yourself will know what mods you will want for your engine. Generally most people go cai, exhaust, and then finally hondata. Goodluck and have fun with your new ride

have you had any problems with grinding gears yet? I want to get an rsx too but for this reason im kind of scared to get one.
oh yeah how would a 2 seater car with 240 hp (s2000) cost less insurance then a 4or5 seater with 200 hp(rsx)?

dont know but call ur insurance and ask. maybe b/c the rsx is stolen so much or crashed so much. the grinding gears doesnt happen 2 all the cars. i have tons of freind with rsx's and only one out of 20 or so has it bad, the rest have it once in a blue moon. from the 2 type s's i have owned i didnt have that problem

immobilizer doesnt do **** against a tow truck.
the type-s is considered a sports car, and for some reason the s2k is not. go figure...

congrats on your purchase....i would go suspension first then some bolt ons and finally hondata....a couple of my friends got type s;s and sd there is enough power to hold you off until suspension is done
another questions i have does the type s come with any sort of lsd?? and if anyone can post some pics so i can get an idea on how to make the car look
The rsx is more practical and is tuned by more people it is stolen more often and is raced and crashed in more that is why it is more. I know I own my own 02 rsx and they are exspensive little basterds. All this info was gathered from a insurance company

i just bought a 05 rsx type-S... I was going to get S2k but the insurance quoted a lot higher. My Type-S isnt even consided sports car to my insurance... strange huh? they belive it to be "sub-compact" so i think it just depends on which insurance agency you go with? Im with 21th century (which is total crap by the way... i want to switch back to state farm once my contract is over)
anyway im paying about 1700 every 6 months (i have a really bad record) where i was quoted somewhere around 400 every month for the S2k...
(anyway, even if the type-s was considered sports car, im pretty sure the S2k is also considered sports car? If they are both sports cars, then the price tag of the vehicle probably determines insurance? im not totally sure, im just assuming)

all of that carbon fiber sounds tasty, but don't overdo it. there have been instances where too much carbon fiber has thrown the flow of the car off balance.
and are you really willing to bust out $600 for the type-r headlights? i'd rather get an exhaust with that
