heya, im trying to keep a low profile with my car. It close to stock, just some cams, but the stock gsr header is on. My motor is a stock gsr in a eg so peppy and don't need huge hp gains just better flow. the motor is clean looking that a cop would think twice if it's legit or not, so i was wondering what headers are known that produce decent power that can have a heatshield? A jdm type r would be nice, but how much do those go for? obviosuly you can bolt one up to it? any aftermarket ones that are able to bolt up a heatshield too? Thanks!

 

I don't know of any aftermarket headers with bolt on heat shields, but I don't get out much either......

 

haha. im not huge on headers either, just trying to be as stock as possible. i guess i have to fork out like 350 for a jdm ype r huh?

 

well, if you wanted to be super sleepy, get a high end aftermarket header and have a local machine/exhaust shop tig weld a small brace to support the stock heat shield.

 

well im only gonna be pushin 180 whp if that, so i imagine a stock type r header will do

 

the OG Mugen 4-2-1 header had a heatshield

 

oem jdm 4-1 with heat-shield is very low key and most people don't even notice mine.
Flows good enough for me and has enough ground clearance too.

 

yea. cus my swpa is top notch, everythign is hooked up it's amazing so thats why i was going for the low-pro, and cops like to slap around little honda boys here os yea
