Of course I cant tell but the gap doesnt seem consistant among plugs. They also look like shiza for 6k.

In person... what's left of the arch part is about the same distance.

Here are two more pics, I tried to get a side profile.

Are these the JDM half-size plugs? Where does the spark plug boot attach?

Seriously, though, you're either running too lean or with too much timing. What is your timing set at? Is your compression raised? Non-stock fuel/timing maps?

Plugs are normal , I just stuck them in the box to hold them to take pics.

As for what's done to the motor... Jack from P1Auto tuned it on the dyno and set the vafc and cam gears. All I know is that it's set at 17deg.
OEM JDM 4-1, test pipe, BCIII
AEM CAI
that's it.

Second from the left whas most noticable at first (gap/grounded electrode), but in the last pic it's clear that you've definately got some issues (probably running really lean and melting the electrode.

Guess I'll take a look at mine in the next few weeks as well, and re-dyno with my adjusted fuel pressure settings.

have you re-checked the timing to verify that the dist hasnt slipped?

also, what heat range are those? 6? if so, you might want to use 7's...jack would definitely be the man to talk to (duh).

i've never actually seen that happen to plugs. yikes.

i'm going to run out and check my plugs now

Rob, I'd bet the farm it's a timing issue. Double check your distributor. Check your cam gears. Make sure your belt didn't slip a tooth. Shine a light down the spark plug holes. What do the tops of your pistons look like?

Holy **** Rob.

I've seen a few good spark plug diagnosis pages on the net, I'll dig them up.

Upgrade to a higher heat range and tune that ******* ****.

So the motor is running lean...
what's the next step? change the vafc settings or change to a different heat range plug?
