Default -!- 4DR Teg Wrecked! What do you guys think? 56k maybe, lots of pics...

Okay well, Florida weather has been bad lately... Hydro planed and hit a curb about 30-35 mph. It was crazy as hell going downhill too. Wanted to see what yall think about this and see what's wrong with it. I'm definitely going to try to fix the car... possible? 96 teg fyi

No flaming, or dumb comments please! I would really appreciate some advice on this thanks H-T! Here are the pics..

As you can see with this first picture that the rear driver side wheel is "in" and the front driver side is a bit off in the top.

My friend taking off the rear passenger side tire to see what's wrong .. we was just thinking LCA, but what do we know? And its tilted like a bitch!

rear passenger side, something is hit

some pic of the passenger rear side, maybe you can spot something?

rear side again, something is bent.. LCA i believe or no?

Here it is again, you can see a piece of the metal is "peeled" off.

again, ouch

--- Now here is the front passenger side.. ---

front passenger, as you can see its a bit BENT on the bottom

front passenger, does this have something to do with it too? i am going to replace almost all the parts too

the bottom of the brakes, oh no.... whats with the bolt too?

random pics of the passenger side front

-That's about all the pics i got... was wondering what yall think. I'm going to replace basically all the parts that's bent. But yall tell me if its's a good idea to do that... It was at a mechanic place for about 2 months just sitting there. So imma do it myself. Maybe yall can list some parts you believe that's in need to be replaced. Thanks alot too!

i fixed a crx that had some suspension damage like that. ended up replacing pretty much that whole section of suspension (rear/drivers side)

control arm, trailer arm, shock/spring

it'll take you a couple days to get the parts from a junkyard, another couple to put em on

I did the exact same thing this winter on some ice. I'm not sure how bad yours is but it looks almost identical to the damage on mine, except all the damage done to mine was in the front. I had to replcace the following parts due to them being bent and/or broken:
-Rotor
-Spindle
-UCA
-LCA
-Ball joint
-Wheel (I hit the curb hard enough to slightly bend the oem alloy wheel)

Total I think I paid close to $1200, but thats with labor, good luck if you try it yourself, but some of those bolts will be tough without air tools

That whole assembly will need to be replaced. What you need to do is go to a junkyard and find either a DC with a whole one still intact, or you can probably get away with using the same parts off of a Civic with the exception of the shock and spring and brake parts. But the upper and lower control arms are the same.

I had a similar situation not too long ago. I misjudged a turn and was going too fast and hit the curb. Lucky for me, it was only the LCA that got messed up. Easy fix. It happened on like a saturday night and I was back on the road by noon the next day.

Only thing is, the Civic parts wont be as beefy.

eh, thats not so bad, my friend and I bought a 93' integra with similar damage, $500 bucks and the problem was that rear driver side wheel got smacked into a curb, here are some pictures of the project, we had to replace that rear crossmember:

old:

new:

only picture I have of it on the car:

Yours doesn't look too bad though, I think that rip in the metal could be reinforced and welded back together on that crossmember.

whoa hold on. looks like everyone is getting way involved here. its really not that bad. its a way easy fix. on the front get a used complete knuckle and the front will be fixed. on the rear all you need is a trailing arm and a lca. thats it. the little tear can be straightened out and welded together after you get the new parts on
and while your at it have a good shop press you in a new front right upper ball joint. it looks in the pic like it isnt seated in the upper control arm correctly

It's a project to work on, you'll need to find all the arms for the front, top and bottom, because they both might be bent, check the sub frame in the front too. It's not kewl when you cant align your car, no matter how many time you go in to do it for.
