Aside from "Where have you people been hiding my entire life!?"

Hi, I'm Kickstand (Kelly) and I have stumbled across this forum several times via google img searches. I never stopped to read any of the threads, having the preconception that it would just be a bunch of Red Riders stroking eachother.

However today I found the "If you're looking for a new bike... or you are a new rider..." thread, & my jaw is still on the floor. Most of the cycle forums in the Northwest are packed with fat-old-bitchy-know-it-all-men who somehow aquired a sportbike, and never actually ride it. They sit around scratching their nuts and venting to all of the 'Noobs" about how inferior they are.

Anyway I just wanted to say thank you for not only being intelligent and have non skewed opinions, but for following those opinions up by constructive criticisim.

 

You may encounter one or two of those on here, but the majority of us are here to advise and encourage riders in general.

I scratch my nuts often, and just got done venting (referring to my thread "Update on my accident").

But i'm still a nice guy ... and i'm not old ... and to tell ya the truth, i dont even have a bike now .. it's more like a pile of mangled 600rr parts.

Are you in Seattle, or around seattle? I live in Tacoma .. but i'm staying with my parents in Puyallup right now till i can walk again.

 

hehe I called you 'hun' in your other thread cuz of your avitar pic. I live in downtown Seattle (south lake union) "Where all the bikes are stolen" Lucky me. I'm sorry to hear about your accident. I ride down near Federal Way (Dashpoint) quite often so if you ever need some company, let me know. P-town isn't that much further away from there. Being injured sucks.

I was at dash point a few times a few weeks ago .. if you take a left out of the park and follow that road, then take a right when it comes to a "T" .. ahhh awesome little stretch of road.

I was just getting prettywell known in the community when one of my friends says "Hey you need to meet a few more people." A few people turned into a crowd of 25+ riders, some I knew, some I didn't.

I pulled up, stopped, put my kickstand down, leaned my bike over..... and it kept going. There really isn't a better way to shut up that many riders all at the same time.

What happened is my kickstand snapped back up and I didn't notice. We all had a good laugh over it because there was NO damage to my bike aside from a shorter peg on my rear set.

The name stuck, and now most barely know my real name.

you know your hanging with people who have been riding a long time when you are getting tagged like the name Kickstand... we have a guy who's name is shitty, everytime we would go out, he always needs to take a **** about half way through, and I mean everytime. It got so bad that he started to actually carry his own tiolet paper on the outtings.

 

Damn sure is fine, u got em whipped already.

 

I think she's stuck on 5 posts a day
