Hey guys...

I've got a 1995 Accord EX with the 2.2 liter Vtec. Right around 1800 RPM there is a very noticable vibration/reverberation from the exhaust system. It seems to always be there regardless of RPM, but it's nearly silent. It causes a very slight vibration through the gas pedal at high speeds.

This car has had the reverb kit that Honda sells isntalled and the rest of the exhaust system is completely new. There HAS to be a cure!

Can anyone help me?

 

I get the same thing on my 94. It's a known problem with a section of the exhaust pipe. Here's a link to where it is discussed by those more knowledgeable than me.

Yeah i have the same problem. I heard taking off a heat shield will stop it but i have yet to try it.

 

Here is an update-

Today I had a bunch of mechanics look at it from Midas, Pro muffler and brake, The Muffler Doctor, and another import place. Nobody has heard of the Honda problem and nobody can figure out where it is coming from.

A Honda Mechanic I know has said that the kit from Honda usually replaces it. It did not work on my car. Am I really stuck with this?

 

hmmm... without looking at it or actually hearing it in person it would be hard to tell. Like everyone else I would think the heat shield on the header, exhaust, or cat. converter rattling.

I would say if you are ever up this way I would surely take care of it for you... otherwise kc is kinda far from st louis.
