Default Just purchased 88 Civic Std or DX?

Well, I sold out today. I am selling my EH2 shell and today I bought an ED6. Once I unload the EH2 shell, I will be turning my back on the 92+ Civics and become completely 91-.

The listing was for a 1988 Honda Civic DX for $950. I got it, but I'm wondering if it's not a DX and is actually a STD. It has a DPFI engine and 4 speed transmission, no PS, but it does have AC. There is not much for a center console...only a rubber boot coming out of the carpet where the shifter comes through the floor, and the plastic console part only being around the e-brake.

Did I buy a DX or an STD? Not that it matters much...eventually the swap from my EH2 will get dumped in...just wondering what I have!

Goodbye EH2! ED3, welcome ED6 to the family.

No rear wiper or passenger mirror either...I'm starting to think it's an STD...the exhaust manifold has a cover on it, but now that you mention it, it does look like the STD/CX/VX manifold.

88-89 STD's have the "HF" mani
90-91 STD's have a reg style one w/ the cat under the car

Definitely a STD model hatch. The 4spd and dpfi plus no center console. I believe AC was available as an option on all models.

I have a 91 STD model. Sounds exactly like yours. It came with AC, but 4 speed tranny, dpfi, etc.

Yeah that definitely is an std. I have a 90 std myself. Does yours have vinyl seats too?

YES...and they MUST go. What seats will swap in?

So far here is a list of what needs doing:

Seatbelts replaced
Speedometer cable
Battery
Negative Battery Cable
Windshield Wipers
Radio Wiring Harness
Passenger mirror
Seats
Rear Hatch Shocks
Driver Door Panel

and I'd like to get a radio and a 5-spd cluster for it eventually.

Getting my seatbelts fixed for free next week at the dealership. Fixed the steering [the rack wasn't bolted to the car ], and threw the SI wheels on [looks so much better than with the wheels in the pictures below]. I'm going to try sewing the seats back together in the meantime...I don't know if I can afford new seats quite yet.

Here's some shots from the day I got it:
