Strut/Suspension noise?
I just got an 05 Type S. Has anyone experienced a clunking sound under the car during slow stop and go traffic, Sometimes from the front sometimes from the rear. On other boards I've seen some peope talk about defective struts that Acura is replacing on complaint. I've seen others talk about clutch issues.
It sounds like two surfaces reseating against each other.
This is only noticable when the windows are up and the radio is off.
I usually belive if your car is making a noise to turn the stereo up :>
, but the car is brand noew and I've seen enough on all the messageboards to be paranoid.
Thanks for being a great source of info,
Type S Newbie

Yeah, I just got my 05 Type-S, I work at an Acura store, same problem and the problem is a defective strut bearing, the part is on national back order. Hope that helps
would it be the same for an 05 ep3....it didn't do it tho till after the springs...and even then it was good for about 3 weeks....then i get a bump, kinda has me worried about speeds over 85
I have an 02 Si that is stock (aside from some different rims) and I get a weird clunk/pop when I shift from 1st to second while accelerating spiritedly after taking a right turn. It's not all of the time but it's very strange. My car is still under warranty so I'm taking it to the dealer in a few weeks when I get a chance.
