Default a/f ratio question

This is a pretty newbie question, but is it crucial to monitor A/F Ratios while runing nitrous? I tried a search and didnt come up with any thing, any key word for a search would allso be appreciated! TIA

If you have already tuned it and it runs fine, yes. If untuned, yes. Don't want to run lean and kablooie!

I would think that you would still need a gauge just for the safety of your engine. Even if you tne it perfectly something could get out of place and you would never know it until it was too late. The gauges are cheap in comparison to your engine....

a gauge to monitor you A/F ratio is definetly an extra safety feature. However from what i've been reading an EGT gauge is more accurate, unless you have a wide band O2 sensor for the A/F gauge then the A/F gauge would be good. Both would be better.

There has been some talk concerning the EGT gauge over the past few day's so do a search on it and see what you come up with.

well, a A/F gauge will tell you when you have focked up. If spraying and you see red LED's on a Autometer unit, shut off the NOS or lift if using ZEX. If not showing all green LEDS when using ZEX, stop spraying else risk a piston of four.
