OEM Honda power
I am going to build a motor that is "powered by Honda." Here is the setup I am going to go with:
B16a head
ITR cams/valvetrain
LS Block/rods(if these rods will work, otherwise ITR)
OS JDM CTR pistons
IB Head package
ITR tranny with lsd
This is going into a completely shelled crx...its pretty damn light. Anyone running a similar setup?

he was asking if anyone was running a similar setup not , hey im gonna make a post of what im gonna do so some morons on the site can rip on my idea . If its not the best setup or can be done better and you feel like telling him atleast explain it without being an *** . Im sure any of our setups could have been done better , and could be ripped on if someone tried hard enough . atleast a few people post decent responses .

Use the ITR rods, but USDM GS-R (P72) pistons, this will yield about 11:1 compression (CTR piston dome will impead the flame front too)
ITR TB
B18C block (girdle)
JDM ITR Exhaust manifold
ITR Flywheel
CTR N1 crank pulley
I think thats about it...

I agree with Master Shake, why go through all that trouble, just buy a Type-R Engine.

I may my improvements to my plan as time goes by and if money allows. Thanks to those who gave intelligent input and for those who didn't....not my concern really. I am not new to this stuff at all, I just been away fo about 5 years or so. Updates and pics coming in the next few weeks...
I'd like to see how it does. Go ahead and throw in the CTR pulley as well, it works well on mine.
I can also agree with what was said earlier. If you are going to use the IB head package, why not just use better cams than the ITR?
I tried keeping my build mostly OE parts, but in some areas others just outperform.

This is what I don't understand about some honda people. They think hype R cams are the best out there. those are STOCK cams. Yes, they are hype R, but they are still oem equipment meaning that they are not aggressive.

I know there stock cams!! They aren't EVEN CLOSE to some of the stage 3s and race cams out there. I didn't realize that people can take a list of items and determine someone's level of intelligence when it comes to making power! This thread is done...
