Default door pops ??? not enough power to open door???????hellppp

ok i have door pops on my car and these are new solenoids they pop but it seems like the dont have enough power to open the door i want to know if i need some kind of voltage amplifier to pop them open ... help need my doors to open lol

i think my friend put some spring loaded rods in the door jams so when the solenoid actuated the spring pushed the door open just enough to un latch. i will have to ask him and ill let you know

You can check and see if this is the problem by rolling down the window, pull on the door a little with your hand, then activate the solenoid, if the door open, you need the "popper" springs, on the other hand if the door is not "unlatching" the problem can be a mis-adjusted solenoid linkage, or, [a very common problem when installing solinoids in doors] a poor ground 94

yea i have a spirng to pop the door but its not unlatchig the door

should just be tightening the wire and adjusting the solenoid. my teacher doesnt even use poppers, just 35 lb solenoids, on his civic and his 70 chevy truck and it opens every time. just make sure you ran the same size power to the solenoid as the 'noid came with, probable 12 gauge or even 10 if you are doubtful. then its either mechanical solenoid problems, or adjustment problems.
