Anyone use MSD Injectors.. If so any I would like some opinions..
I can get a great deal on MSD 750 Injectors.. I wanted to know if anyone used them on hondas and what the opinions on them..
I'm considering them highly right now. I have heard differing opinions on whether the fit the rail or not. I do know they fit the injector boss just fine though. Need more input

i'm using the MSD 720's right now. i only had them on the car for about 2 weeks now and only drove the car on two occasions so i can't give you direct feedback because i haven't had them for that long.
so, after enough seat/track time with the car, i'll give you feedback on how they are

I am using the MSD 50lbs injectors. the only mod to make it fit the stock rail is to get a machine shop to take off some of the material from the top part of the injector . The bottom part fit the bosses perfectly. Also they worked better than a set of Rc 550 i had. Idle was more smooth.
MSD injectors are a ball type. They do have a good spray pattern, and it is more narrow than the regular pintle, but not a stream like disc types. They work as any injector would, but you must not go above 60-70psi of fuel pressure. I had one stick open at 65psi fuel pressure. Other than that, they are cheap and work well at idle, better atomization and stuff......
I have used the 50 lb/hr MSD's. They were able to support 349 whp without any problems. I now have the 72 lb/hr MSD's for my MOnster Turbo build up! They work well are are fairly inexpensive!

How much are the RC 720's a set? WOuld getting the MSD's be a better choice than the RC 550's (witch I was planning on) for 1 bar?
550's would be a good choice for 1 bar. RC's get really expensive above the 550 range, as they are then a custom injector (175/per injector!).
Kinda off topoic: I will have enough money shortly to buy all of the stuff I need for my rebuild. Only think is, if I get all the stuff now I won't beable to have my block re-sleeved by Golden Eagle. I mad decide to save till the summer, and just try to have my block resleeved and step up to a 84.5mm bore. My question is, will I need larger injectors for a 84.5 mm bore at 1 bar than a 81.5mm bore and 1 bar?
absolutely yes. On even the n/a B20vtecs, the stock injectors don't cut it at all. I've used prelude 290cc injectors, and we still have to push close to 60psi to get the car to supply all the fuel it needs. On a boosted app, this situation is worsened slightly. I'd look into 650's or 720's for a boosted app.
Does importparts or summit sell the MSD injectors? Would the MSD 750 be a good choice for a 84.5mm bore? I haven't decided yet if I want a vtec head if that has anything to do with it.
Would Hondata beable to idle 750's well?

Ok, so did you have to modify anything to make it fit the rail?

So, shaving top part of the injectors is the only mod. Can anyone get a little more detail on it like where to cut and shave. Pic would be great!!

Are the MSD injectors made by the MSD ignition company? I can't seem to find any info on the injectors on http://www.msdignition.com .
do they come with the connectors?
Whaqt I always wondered is what the conversion is for lbs/hr and cc? For example, I always thought that likr 550cc injectors are the same as 55lb injectors

no, they don't come with connectors, but you should be able to use CRX Si injector clips - don't quote me on that though. Want more info?
