LS w/ hoslet WH1C. opinions/experiences?????
i just bought a holset WH1C from e-gay and plan on using it on my LS project.
the compressor is almost identical to a HX-35. and the turbine is a 12cm^2, which should help spool compared to the 16cm^2 on most other holsets.
just looking for any thing i should look out for that maybe a poblem.
and, what is the stock wastegate setting.

You're going to find that manifold selection can be tricky. You can't use a DRAG style (rev hard, inline pro) manifold even with shaving the block because the compressor will extend well into the transmission area. If you run the turbo the other way you end up with the downpipe outlet almost touching your radiator. Look for a ramhorn style and plan on running the compressor facing the driver's side (hopefully you arent planning on AC?)
I don't know of anyone still running the stock internal wastegate with these turbos; I am sure stock boost is very high.

i've read through the threads on here and another one on some DSM forum. lots of good info.
my a/c is already gone, and i planned on the comp on the driver side. this will be in an EF w/ a 1/2 rad. i was thinking of using a log mani with the flange more towards teh front.
i didnt really want an internally gated one but it was cheap, i plan on removeing the actuator and using JB weld to keep the flapper shut.
