Default Solid Red LED ecu, Limp mode, what would cause it?

There a CEL, I look at the ECU, theres a Solid RED LED. and the car wont rev past 3k.

From what I search here, Its in limp mode.

The car has been siting for a year, and It probly has bad gas. Its a DX, with a b16 in it.

It runs, and Idles perfect, just wont rev up.

I was told the car has some electrial issues.

So I notice the Cable for the Speed sensor is cut, Its not pluged into the transmission, Would that cause Limp\Solid ECU code?

Basicly, Im trying to pinpoint it down to bad wiring, or Broken sensor, or Bad ECU.

Basicly, What would cause Limp mode, and Solid LED light?

you try resetting the ecu? vss shouldnt cause it but when you do get the car running again it would be a good thing to get the vss connected so you can hit vtec.

If you still have the prob then fix the VSS> I used to have a 91 Mazda 626 (sory for cursing). Do the research, that is what killed that car. The ECU isn't getting any reading from your tranny and is having an emotional breakdown. Just hit up a scrap yard, they prob have dozens of them.
