Just look at the back of the seat. You should be able to loosen a few bolts and it should slide out for you.

On the inside of the seat, where the two sides meet, there is a hole on the seat part that slides around a small dowl. You have to pull the seat out of that and then there will be another dowel on the side that sticks in to the plastic. It has a small clip on it that has to be pulled off and then it will slide right out.

I just did it on mine a few weeks ago. It is REALLY easy. Look at the little hinge hole in the interior body panel on either side of the seat. There is a little plastic clip on the little rod. Pop that clip off, and slide the seat about 1/2 inch toward the outside of the car and lift! Bada-Bing! Repeat for the other side. once the backs are removed, lift the back of the bottom seat up and pull forward to unhook the pins on the lower forward potion of the seat.
This is a really easy removal. It takes about 2 minutes and no tools.

this is the correct way.

When you have done it to other vehicles of different makes, it is really easy (not to mention the fact that I actually own an 88 Civic Hatch Std and have performed this operation twice already on it). The hard part is dressing up the hole left by the departed seats.
