is this suppose to be a trick question or something. Disconnect the wires for the brake light, unscrew the bolts on the hatch.

 

yeah really.. take off the plastic under the trunk, disconnect the brake light wire and take off the two 8mm bolts on each side of the hatch. viola its off

 

You don't like it? I think it gives the GS-R a little something extra visually that it needs

 

take out the hatch undercover, pull real hard, it'll come off, just be careful that you dont brake any clip

unplug 3rd brake light harness

unscrew the 4 bolt, 2 on each side, on the left side, the 3rd bolt is held down by a plastic piece thingy, just pull up hard

done

 

sledge hammer, just hit it real hard and it will come off...just dont hit the rest of the deck cover, it could scratch the paint

Just as the other said, but dont forget you will have to cover over the holes in the deck now. Some guys weld and paint it, some use tape, spme make some sort of plug

 

Definetly use a sledge hammer, then you'll really have a "custom ride".
