Why drive a CRX?
This is a question that came across my mind at work. Chances are you get **** all the time about driving a go-cart and thnigs along those lines. Personally, I love my CRXs and the only thing I would trade them for would be a BMW or Supra. What's your reason?

In no particular order:
1. Cheap
2. Light
3. Reliable
4. Double wishbone
5. Classic design
6. Easy to get parts (stock and aftermarket)
7. Can be very fast with the right setup
I'm sure I'm forgetting somethings...
What I don't like about them is:
1. FWD
2. Dated interior
3. Stock brakes

basically the crx is a very well designed vehicle in its stock form. the import market has evolved this vehicle into a superior acceleration and cornering champion. the suspension gyometry when lowered combined w/ the near perfect four corner weight distribution makes the crx a superior sport compact car. IF you build a rex the right way you can have a hell of an awesome daily driven track/strip car. its light weight & porper braking components give the machine an edge over most decade old hondas. plus insurance is cheap and aftermarket support is strong. drop a b18c1 into it and run consistant 13's and after your done take it to the local twistie mnt. roads and see if wrx's can hang. plus its classic and most girls think its CUTE

My corner weights a few years ago:
Total weight: 1775
LF: 577 RF: 587
LR: 313 RR: 298
Thats with a d-series up front, looks rather front heavy to me, but at least the weight is pretty well even left to right (without driver). If the car was RWD, it would be pretty easy to get it to 50/50 distribution... I can dream can't I?

Its my 3rd and most favorite so far, had a boosted 00' DX coupe, then boosted 96 EX coupe, now the B16 CRX. The CRX is just flat out fun to drive N/A.

Small, great for parking in the city. Cheap on gas. 2 seats = only 1 passenger, tons of grocery room, Small car + B series = nimble. Smart is 20k around here while a CRX is 3-5k.
Because having a light weight, small wheelbase car means you can get into trouble just as fast as you can get out of it.
There aren't many cars on the road now that can claim the title of "sub compact". Not many that can make a 90 degree turn with little to no turning room. Not many front wheel cars that are so forgiving during a hard turn as the Crx. And not nearly as cheap or interchangable to fix as the Crx.

CULT CLASSIC. everyone mentioned everything that sums up a good CRX. light, good handling and with my B18C1. hell yeah the partys' just begun
I just love everything about the car, my favorite thing is how it looks. I love the full tailight, the old honda styled headlights, the small compact size. It's absolutely my favorite looking honda. Plus it's lighter than a feather, and can house a variety of B Seris engines fairly easily. Great Car
I love CRX's, but what I hate about the car is the insurance rates! Every month when I get the bill I ask myself "Why do I drive a CRX, when a Hatch is prolly so much cheaper?"
I pay $120/mo for PLPD on that thing, thats almost as much as Full Coverage for my 2005 Grand Cherokee. The insurance companies say its a "sports car" because it only came with 2 seats, and aparantly my driving record is not quite up to par, or at least not to operate a sports car of the CRX DX's calibur
All things considered, I still love CRX's, just the whole look is mean.

I would love to have a little CRX, but I can't find a virgin body/frame anymore out in Las Vegas. While my little 88 Hatch is freakin awesome, I love the clean sexy lower body lines and front lower valance of the CRX and that sloping rear hatch is so much cleaner than the standard HB. Makes me think of a rocketship with wheels! Do that nice EF8 JDM conversion, and you have the best looking JDM car in existence.

Negative, 2 seats = Me driving and no passenger. The car ain't that big

One of the things that everyone loves about my crx is the interior. Overall the CRX and the Del Sol have the best interiors out of all the honda's IMO.
I wouldn't trade my crx's for any other import except MAYBE a Toyota MR2 Turbo.
