Default Your ideas for my CRX...

Alright here is my idea...
-Get any CRX with a decent interior and with a **** motor
-Swap it's **** engine for a b16a1 jspec. because the first generation has a lower compressions and the 2nd and 3rd generations have a higher compression which is bad because I want to turbo it.
Alright beyond that I am stuck. I was thinking of getting a Crower stroke kit for it to stroke it out to a 2.12 and get a Innovative Turbo Systems Hybrid Turbo with Dual Cermaic Ball Bearings. So what would you guys recommend. Because I kno there are a lot of people on here that have more expierence than me with this. Thanks.

You're a lucky guy....

I would check out http://www.homemadeturbo.com for turbo stuff. I would suggest buying a CR-X siR front clip with all the goodies, like front end and some of the dash. Having the cluster is a must, but also it will tell you exactly how many kms are on it.

I want my car to have somewhere from 300-400 horses at the wheels. Engine first body and interior last.

Dont bother with a stroker kit, just get it resleeved and get the internals replaced. Check out the following links for deals on built blocks:

Easy, if you want turbo leave the B16 alone and go with LS motor, good for turbo.

IMO Start with the basics...
Get your car breathing right with a CAI or Ram, cut out the cat, get a high flow muffler. Then worrie about traction an suspension an tires (remember, powers usless if you cant control it) Then after youve got the basics down, start doing some of the bigger things like camhafts, headers, pulleys that sorta thing. And if your gonna boost the sucker, look into a turbo timer and boot controler...
God how I with I had bottemless pockets.

I understand that you want 300-400 hp but this is a honda you dont need that much horspower to be competitive only domestics need that much power besides the crx is so light it will be hard to get traction with lots of power

400whp would be ******* sweet lol....

anybody seen that video of the 400whp crx running an R6? mmmm...

to be competitive? if your goal is 350-400hp then do it. it'll be a hell of a ride and with the right tunning and responsive turbo you can have a very streetable ride.

Wow your a lucky man.
Having a rich mom support your project.
LS with turbo would be very nice in a crx.
But other then that, go search. I can tell you how you should fix your car, but then it would be my car that you funded. That's not what it's really about. Search around, and see what you like, and piece together your own identity.
All these suggestions your getting, is mostly from opinion. And not saying that they're wrong, it's just you should have the ability to come up with your own decisions. That way you have nobody to blame if things go wrong but yourself. But also, you have nobody else to congratulate except yourself.
It's funny that there's alot of people on HT that have the knowledge to build a super car...yet don't have the money to fund it.
Yet there are people coming on with tons of cash, but have really no idea what they're going to do.
Just a ironic kinda thing.

ummm please let me know about these cake-taking 250+whp N/A hond motors that are daily driven? thats amazing....

unless your talking about v6's or v8's....but then the weight advantage comes into hand. and a 400whp honda running a 400whp vette is just unfair, i mean got DID create turbo lag to give big blocks a chance but im sorry your n/a muscle motor weighs as much as my crx shell lol..
