i have a couple of questions...

is the Ls block with any VTEC head a reliable engine? which is my main concern. i've been searching/reading alot and i came across so many threads claiming that motor will beat itself up and isn't worth the time. i was planning to boost but that's out of my budget. any suggestions?

 

ls vtec? wtf is that? u cant have an ls block and vtak head, it just cant be done. nobody has ever done this before. everyone has mad tyte jdm engines

ls/vtec is good if your on a budget and will be reliable if its built right and tuned properly. if not then say bye bye in under 1000 miles. personally i would get a gsr since its from the factory and more reliable

yea, building it right... know of any shops in southern california that has experience with the lsvtecs?

 

u know ls/vtec is illegal too right? if you go to a shop your gonna raped on prices especially since u dont know anyone and your in socal.

 

if boost is out of your budget then a reliable lsvtec is too. and youll never pass smog. like some one said get a gsr.

 

i have a b20 vtec and i ******* love it. good build

 

but hes in cali so cops will harrass him and **** if he ever gets pulled over.

swapped engine with no bar sticker in cali can get impounded and you wont get a bar sticker if u go to the ref because ls/vtec is illegal

dang... how much does it usually cost. i know a custom turbo pieced together is about 1000-1500.

 

theres more to it then just the actual turbo parts

yes i know... fuel management and tuning the thing. i'm thinking about just leaving my Ls alone.
