Default 92 si going to manual rack

I want to put a manual rack in my 92 si, what is the difference in feel, as far as, does the steering feel really slow how many turns lock to lock. someone who has done this lmk. I don't think I want to just convert the power rack to manual, I want to get rid of all the extra lines, ie: the cooling line that runs up front and all the other BS

TIA
