How long did it take you to fab that up? How long have you been welding/fabbing?
I might eventually try something like that for my Talon.

Lookin good tho, man

It took about 3 hours of screwing around to get it to fit together. I've been building kits locally for 3 years.

What did you use, mandrel 180* and just hack them apart?

How did you get the collector to fit nice and tight like that?

Nice! Does that mean this manifold can retain stock power steering? Good work!

The fittings are actually welded (there is a bead on the inside of the fitting) and not cast.

Just an FYI.

have you got a chance to run it yet? just curious as to how a t4 54 trim performs, dont see people running that turbo too often.

Yes it looks very nice. What I would like to know is what materials you guys use?
304,310,316 or 321.

I think that this is an interesting question because the prices for that materials differ very much.

Thanks from Germany
Kevin

I primarily use 304. Its strong enough, looks nice and is the easiest on my saw blades.

I really don't want to get into an argument here but there is nothing cast about them. They are made from stainless sheet (hot rolled sheet) which is rolled and welded (creating pipe) and then bent to the desired degree and radius. Threaded fittings are cast, buttweld are not.

The brand you are using, which can be clearly seen in the picture, is Kanzen Tetsu (Malaysia). We used to buy direct from their mill until we found a more consistent mill.

No worries. There is enough confusing information out there to mix anyone up.

dont you think all the air is going to come out where the pipes meet? I would recommend filling those with someJB weld or something, maybe wall spackling?

Nice work man
