Default Fuel Pumps a1 vs. a4

Okay, I did a search but wasn't able to find anythng useful...maybe I'm still drunk! who knows! Anyway, was looking for intank pumps for my h22a1, went on ebay all they have listed was for the h22a4. Also checked a couple sponsors out and only could find an h22a4 listed, 97-01.

My first question is are the intank pumps interchangable?

Also, if I was so inclined, could I use an inline fuelpump as an intank? I thought I once read directions on how to do this, but again, don't know if I was on crack and dreamt it or something.

A walbro was what I was looking at, but I can't seem to find any for the 4th gen lude, all the ones I've seen are for the 5th gens.

You don't even need the install kit...

so to install a walbro does it just go where your stock fuel pump is?

i prefer it since it includes the new filter and stuff...maybe you can call me crazy for replacing filters and stuff but to me it makes sense.

Your crazy... J/K... I bought the pump locally and they did not have the install kit and I did not have the time to wait... I'm just saying that it is not a necessity so you can install it still even if the kit you get is different...

Sweet, thanks for the responses guys! I'll be picking one up from Ebay shortly, it's just that all the ones on ebay say for 97-01 h22a so I wasn't sure. Thanks again.

Oh yah, one more thing, is the 255lph high volume AND high pressure necessary for 350 - 400 whp or can I just get the high volume and low pressure pump?
